KONG- Are they all they are cracked up to be?

KONG toys and treats have got to be on of the more expensive treats out there. Are they really worth the price? Here are a few things to consider:

1. The prices range from 7-12 dollars for one of the Kong balls and about 8 dollars for the cheez-whiz like filling

2. The ball is virtually indestructible.

3. The can of filling claims to have 45 , 1 teaspoon servings per can.

4. What dog honestly only eats one teaspoon of that????

5. It probably takes 3 or 4 teaspoons to line the insides of a Kong Ball with the filling.

Overall, I think these toys will last longer and give you more bang for your buck than rawhides. And they have some nutritional value in the filling. You also arent having to watch them to make sure they don't swallow the whole thing like they can with a rawhide.

Hint: I fill my Kong's and put them in the freezer before giving them to my pup. It gives you a little more free time since they have to lick harder to get the filling out!
